Missouri State men's basketball associate head coach Corey Gipson is expected to be hired as the head coach at Northwestern State, according to a report by Stadium's Jeff Goodman.
Gipson just finished his seventh season on Missouri State's staff. He was the lone carryover from former head coach Paul Lusk's staff to Dana Ford's.
The Sikeston, Missouri, native first came to MSU in 2015 and was promoted to associate head coach under Ford.
Gipson was first an assistant and recruiting coordinator at his alma mater, Austin Peay State in Clarksville, Tennessee. He also spent two years as an associate head coach at UNC Greensboro after one year as an assistant coach.
