When you go tromping through the woods, field or brush, you're likely to come across a tick or two. Conservation officials are asking people to save those creepers and mail them to A.T. Still University in Kirksville.
The Missouri Department of Conservation and the university have partnered in a two-year research study, which begins this month and will conclude in September 2022.
During that time, MDC and the university are asking residents to mail ticks to A.T. Still University to be identified by species and life stage and tested for four species of bacterial pathogens.
