June will have two free fishing days for anglers across Missouri.
The Missouri Department of Conservation is inviting the public to participate June 11 and 12. Anyone can fish in Missouri without having to buy a fishing or trout permit or a trout park daily tag. Free Fishing Days is an annual statewide event during Saturday and Sunday following the first Monday in June.
"Aside from not needing permits, other fishing regulations remain in effect during Free Fishing Days, such as limits on size and number of fish an angler may keep," according to MDC.
Special permits may still be required by some county, city or private fishing areas while trespass laws remain intact on private property.
