Autry Acord didn't hate his job, but he didn't love it.
Poor grades and a series of injuries had derailed the Evangel guard's college career, thrusting the former Parkview basketball star into the workforce after a promising freshman season.
Acord, who had the first of his two young children shortly after receiving his high school diploma in 2015, didn't have time to mull over his next move. He had to make ends meet as his wife, Morgan, studied to become a radiologist.
So instead of piling up numbers at the Ashcroft Center, Acord began stacking pallets of Coca-Cola products as a merchandiser.
