Fans will get their first chance Friday to watch racing at Lucas Oil Speedway's new off-road course.
Construction started on the new course at the Wheatland complex in the spring of 2016, and the course will be unveiled this weekend for the inaugural GEICO Off Road Shootout Presented by General Tire.
"It's going to be probably one of the biggest things that has ever happened in southwest Missouri," said Dan Robinson, general manager of Lucas Oil Speedway.
The off-road racing will be the highlight of a busy weekend at Lucas Oil Speedway that also features dirt track oval racing on Saturday night.
