Longtime Glendale High School football coach Bob Price passed away on Tuesday, his family confirmed to the News-Leader.
Price coached at Glendale for 24 seasons from 1973-96 and went 146-95 to become the winningest football coach in Springfield Public Schools history. He led the Falcons to seven Ozark Conference championships and he was inducted into the Missouri Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 1995.
“It’s a great honor, just for me and my staff and Glendale High School, and all the people that I’ve been associated with for years and years,” Price said in an interview with the News-Leader in 2016 upon his induction into the Springfield Area Sports Hall of Fame.
