Lebanon's Cade Muscia wins News-Leader's 2022 high school football player of the year vote

In a poll that received over 20,000 votes, our readers have voted the leader of one of the best rushing offenses in state history as their player of the year.

Lebanon senior Cade Muscia earned the annual honor by rushing for 2,016 yards and 30 touchdowns this season. Defensively, he also had 36 total tackles, a sack and an interception.

Muscia's efforts helped the Yellowjackets win a district title as he earned Class 5 First Team All-State honors. He was a News-Leader First Team All-Ozarks performer in addition to earning a Dominant Dozen label.

Muscia edged out other worthy candidates including Carthage's Luke Gall, Joplin's Draven VanGilder and Mountain View's Drew Ripko.
