The heat of summer will soon be fading to cooler temperatures, and the vibrant green leaves will, hopefully, give way to an array of colors this autumn.
When planning your evening drive to soak in the yellow, orange and red hues, be sure to check out Missouri Department of Conservation's fall color report at mdc.mo.gov/fallcolor
The report is updated on a weekly basis using data from foresters across the state, according to the department's Community Forester Ann Koenig.
“Users can see where trees are beginning to turn and get recommendations on great places to view the changing leaves," Koenig said.
