Paige Robinson made sure Drury University wouldn’t fall flat in its rematch with Truman State on Saturday night — and also wouldn’t fail in its opportunity to play Ashland in another regional final.
The junior guard scored 26 points, including 11 in the second quarter as Drury moved to a 10-point halftime advantage.
The Lady Panthers built on the lead, then held off a series of Truman State rallies in the third and fourth quarters to take a 66-51 semifinal victory in the Midwest Regional of NCAA Division II.
“We did a good job countering their runs,” said Drury coach Amy Eagan.
