Missouri State and Southern Illinois have a history of close games this season, but Friday night was not one of those games.
The Lady Bears (17-10, 13-3) took an early lead against the Salukis (14-13, 9-7), and continued to outscore SIU throughout the entire night, taking a 79-61 win.
The Lady Bears lost to the Salukis earlier this season by two points in overtime, but since then, Missouri State has moved up to the second spot in the Missouri Valley Conference, while SIU is ranked fourth.
The game solidifies the second-place slot for the Lady Bears in the upcoming Missouri Valley Conference tournament.
