COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Forty minutes of giveaways was too much to ask from Texas A&M on Saturday afternoon.
As a result, Missouri State’s run to the NCAA Tournament ended in the first round at Reed Arena, in a 74-65 loss to the fourth-seeded Aggies.
The 13th-seeded Lady Bears were within a bucket at halftime, trailing 25-23 after recording 11 steals among A&M’s’ 17 turnovers in the first 20 minutes.
That allowed Missouri State, which shot just 25 percent (10 for 40) from the field and was outrebounded 30-19 in the first half, to stay within striking distance.
