One of the many challenges unique to the 2021 basketball season is playing back-to-back games against familiar conference foes.
It sure helps that Missouri State has a battle-tested veteran like Brice Calip.
After scoring a game-high 20 points in MSU’s 70-51 win in the series opener on Friday night, Calip did it all on Saturday evening to push the visiting Lady Bears past a stubborn effort by Northern Iowa, 64-60, in the weekend series finale.
The senior guard scored a team-high 17 points and added seven rebounds, six assists and three steals in a grueling 38 minutes on the floor.
