After falling to Rock Bridge in the state quarterfinals a year ago, Kickapoo wasn't going to let that happen again.
The Kickapoo Chiefs are headed to the Class 5 state semifinals after a 67-52 win over defending-state-champion Rock Bridge on Saturday night at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar.
Kickapoo will play Christian Brothers College on Friday at 9:35 p.m. at JQH Arena.
The Chiefs have been led by the duo of Anton Brookshire and Cameron Liggins throughout the postseason. Brookshire scored 21 points in the second half while scoring 25 in the game. Liggins led the Chiefs in scoring with 28.
