The Kansas City Royals' first-round pick in 2018 is expected to make his Double-A debut in Springfield.
Northwest Arkansas announced that Brady Singer — the Royals' top prospect — is expected to make his debut on Saturday night at Hammons Field.
Singer hasn't allowed an earned run in his last 22 innings pitched. He's spent the first part of the 2019 season in Class A-Advanced in the Carolina League with the Wilmington Blue Rocks.
With Wilmington, Singer was 5-2 with a 1.87 ERA while striking out 53 batters in 10 starts.
Singer was widely considered one of the top prospects in the 2018 MLB Draft.
