Springfield's local sports radio programming will be moving to three different frequencies.
Art Hains announced at the end of Friday's edition of Sports Talk that Jock 98.7 programming will be moving to three different frequencies in early August while 98.7 transitions into a frequency that's music and personality-driven.
This move follows Zimmer Communications' acquisition of Meyer Communications. The new radio group took over at the beginning of July.
Hains said the three new frequencies for sports radio includes:
- AM 1060
- FM 96.9
- FM 99.9
"We're going to lose some coverage to the south," Hains said on his show.
