It may not always be the easiest or prettiest, but as long as the Lady Bears find a way to come out on top, everyone is smiling in the end.
Missouri State (17-5, 8-3) found a way in a 63-59 win over Drake (12-11, 4-8) on Friday night at JQH Arena. Both teams finished with 23 turnovers while shooting less than 43 percent.
The win keeps the Lady Bears alive in the Missouri Valley Conference regular-season race — something head coach Amaka Agugua-Hamilton believes others have come to doubt amid a challenging year.
"Not everyone thinks that, but we are," Agugua-Hamilton said.
