The Bears are now losers of three straight games after falling to Indiana State on Saturday afternoon.
Missouri State (10-13, 4-6) lost to Indiana State (13-8, 6-4) in a 78-68 defeat at JQH Arena.
The Bears now face the harsh reality that they will be playing to stay out of a play-in game at the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament. Entering Saturday, they had yet to beat a team ahead of it in the standings.
Indiana State's win handed the Bears their first three-game losing streak of the season.
