Ben Whetstone was never on a losing team in his first two years at Missouri State.
The success, mixed with a promising incoming recruiting class, even had the Bears' junior captain talking about a possible College World Series appearance before the season.
Now, Whetstone and the Bears find themselves in unfamiliar territory — on a losing baseball team that has struggled since opening day.
"It's been tough," Whetstone said. "We're not used to losing like this. We're just trying to find ways to stay positive while addressing what's not working so well."
Missouri State is 11-25 on the season following Tuesday night's 14-6 loss to Mizzou.
