The Missouri State Ice Bears traveled over the weekend to Ames, Iowa to play two crucial games against the Iowa State University Cyclones.
After splitting this weekend’s series with a 4-2 loss on Friday and 5-3 win on Saturday, they now need to secure the No. 17 spot so they can go to nationals.
“(This upcoming) weekend is the last weekend for the rankings,” Ice Bears head coach Jeremy Law said.
The Ice Bears will know by next Sunday if they’re headed to Ohio ACHA National Tournament in March.
Despite losing on Friday, Law said the team played really well and outshot Iowa State.
