Starting back in the spring, players on the Missouri State football team started referring to themselves as the "Cardiac Bears" because they had a tendency to only win their games in thrilling fashion.
That hasn't changed in the fall — whether there were five touchdowns scored in the final 3:17 against Central Arkansas or a fourth-quarter rally to beat South Dakota.
In Saturday afternoon's 32-28 win over North Dakota, an electrocardiogram might have told the Bears their chances at winning the game and making the postseason were close to flatlining.
But the "Cardiac Bears" did it again.
