For five minutes after an early-week practice, Kickapoo's three seniors looked at each other and laughed. They tried to think of fun stories throughout the season they were willing to share before shaking their heads and laughing some more.
Most of the stories, they were too embarrassed to tell. At other times, they blanked because there were just too many and they couldn't pick one.
Was it the time one of them got kicked off the bus? Or when someone fell down and everyone started laughing? Or the time that five players fell over at once while trying to retrieve a loose ball during one of the first practices of the season?
