Since the program's inceptions in 2007, Hollister football had never won more than five games in a season. That changed on Friday night after a 48-0 victory for the Tigers' first-ever win over Springfield Catholic (1-7).
The win pushed Hollister to 6-3 on the season, clinching the first winning season in program history.
“It feels great,” Hollister first-year head coach Mike Johnson said. “I’m really proud of the kids. They’ve worked really hard and bought in. They did something really special tonight.
