Missouri State will spend more money on its new football coaching staff than it did on its previous staff, according to employment agreements that are expected to be approved later in the week.
While new head coach Bobby Petrino will make less than former football coach Dave Steckel, more money is being put into his assistants heading into the 2020 season.
Part of that is due to Petrino deciding to take less money in order to put more money into the assistants' pay, along with a $70,000 annual donation he will pay himself into the assistant coaching pool.
