Three quarters with 20 or more points gave the Hartville boys basketball team a bid into the state championship — it’s the Eagles first trip to the championship since they won it in 2016. The Eagles defeated the Milan Wildcats 71-37 in the Class 2 Boys State Semifinal.
“We would’ve taken a one-point win, but the turbo (win) is a little easier on the ticker,” Eagles head coach Brett Reed said patting his heart.
Hartville started the first quarter with a 9-0 run. Even as Milan started sinking shots, the Eagles forced turnovers and made transition shots on the opposite end.
