The greatest 3-point shooter in the history of Springfield will walk on for Missouri State men's basketball.
Tommy Pinegar, a former Greenwood standout, tweeted on Wednesday afternoon that he committed to Missouri State men's basketball. He will be a preferred walk-on.
Pinegar has been a standout for the Blue Jays throughout a high school career that saw him help lead Greenwood to a state championship during his freshman season.
This past year, Pinegar shattered the city's 3-point record that was previously held by former Kickapoo standout Anton Brookshire. He will fill a walk-on wall that was vacated recently by former Kickapoo standout Elijah Bridgers who entered the transfer portal.
