The Springfield-Greene County Park Board has announced when the city's outdoor pools will be opening.
Fassnight, Meador and McGee-McGregor will open Saturday, May 28, with Grant Beach, Silver Springs and Westport opening Sunday, May 29.
You can celebrate Memorial Day with Splash & Sizzle discount swimming at Grant Beach and Meador, according to Jenny Edwards, public information administrator for the park board. Admission at those two pools on Monday is $1 or free with a canned food donation for Ozarks Food Harvest.
Pool hours are 1-6:30 p.m. daily, except for McGee-McGregor, 10 a.m.-noon and 3-6 p.
