Glendale High School just might be the best .500 team in Missouri high school football.
The fast-paced Falcons made a strong case for that sentiment Friday night by racing past visiting Parkview 56-0 in a Class 5, District 5 semifinal of the MSHSAA.
The Falcons’ big gun, as usual, was quarterback Gavin Watts, who threw for six touchdowns and ran for 115 yards.
He made a pair of touchdown passes each to wide receivers Ben Shoemaker, Jack Clinkenbeard and Chris Floyd. Glendale also scored on long interception returns by defensive back Travin Mathis and linebacker Bryce Clark.
