Glendale used a zen-like approach and five solid outings to pick up its first major golf tournament win of the 2016 season.
The Falcons posted a four-man team score of 293 to win the MSU Golf Relays Thursday afternoon on a damp and windy day at Bill and Payne Stewart Golf Course. The Falcons got top 15 performances from Sam Holmes with an 18-hole score of 72, Christopher Obert, 73, Chase Gafner, 73, and Alex Locke with 75.
Holmes placed second overall and won first place individually among players from 12 Class 4 teams in the tournament.
