Frogging season is about to be underway and will run through the end of October.
For folks with a fishing or small-game hunting permit, they may frog when the season starts June 30 at sunset and goes to Oct. 31. Children 15 and under and Missouri residents 65 or older are not required to have a permit.
The season applies to bullfrogs and green frogs. The daily limit is eight frogs of both species combined with the possession limit at 16 of both species combined, according to the Missouri Department of Conservation.
Daily limits end at midnight, and froggers who catch their daily limits before then and want to return to frogging must remove the daily limit of their catch from the waters or banks before doing so.
