The coronavirus pandemic took a toll on the Springfield sports scene as the high school spring athletics season was canceled along with the remainder of the college athletics seasons.
Slowly but surely, you can see sports on their way back.
Many highly-anticipated events such as NCAA Tournaments, state championships and season openers were called off due to the pandemic but the excitement for the first events to come will be sky high when that time arrives.
