Jake Burger could barely keep it together as he looked into the camera following his Major League debut on Friday night.
The former Missouri State star had been through so much to get to where he was. After a pair of hits in the Chicago White Sox win over the Detroit Tigers, he lived out his dream and showed he belonged.
"Why are you so emotional about this?" Burger was asked on NBC Sports Chicago in a postgame interview.
Burger laughed and shook his head.
"You know, the last three years, I definitely thought about quitting multiple times," Burger said.
