Whenever an NBA team eventually gives Alize Johnson a long-term chance, it's going to be really happy it did so.
The former Missouri State star in his debut with the Brooklyn Nets went off for 23 points on 11-of-15 shooting to go along with 15 rebounds.
The Nets, who played without James Harden, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, lost the game 118-88 on Wednesday night against the Utah Jazz.
Johnson recently signed a 10-day contract with the Nets after starting the season with the Toronto Raptors G League affiliate. In 15 games (all starts) for Toronto 905 this season, the former Bear averaged a double-double with 16.
