Former Missouri State star Luke Voit is headed to the Bronx.
Following the Yankees' doubleheader against the Royals, the Yankees announced they traded for Luke Voit from the St. Louis Cardinals.
The Yankees will receive Voit and international signing pool money. The Cardinals will receive Chasen Shreve and Giovanny Gallegos.
Voit was most previously with Triple-A Memphis. He appeared in eight games for the major league team and had 13 appearances, one home run and three RBI.
In the minors, Voit was batting .300 in 240 plate appearances with the majority coming in Memphis. He had 10 home runs and 37 RBI.
