Former Missouri State point guard Aaron Cooper died Saturday at the age of 29.
No details of his death have been released. Cooper was serving as an assistant coach for Hot Springs (Arkansas) High School. The district announced his death on Sunday morning.
Cooper only played one season in Springfield during his true freshman year in 2010-11. He played in 14 games and averaged 3.6 minutes and 0.4 points before transferring to Delta State. He ended his career at Henderson State.
"Every person I host and helped bring to Missouri State during my time there holds a special place in my heart," former MSU star Kyle Weems wrote on Facebook.
