On Monday, Kanon Gipson was really close to committing to MidAmerica Nazarene in the Kansas City area but he decided to sleep on it.
The next morning, Gipson's phone rang at 7:30 with his prep school coach, Rob Yanders, on the other line saying that Dana Ford had expressed interest in having Gipson walk-on at Missouri State.
Within a few days span, after a recruiting process that he called the "craziest journey" of his life, his life changed as Gipson committed to playing basketball at Missouri State.
"It just all works out in unique ways," Gipson said in a phone call with the News-Leader.
