Kickapoo graduate Tyson Batiste made his Division I basketball choice, and it’s the Blue Devils.
No, not those Blue Devils.
The 2015 all-state guard committed Saturday to play for the Central Connecticut State Blue Devils, an NCAA Division I team from New Britain, Connecticut, that plays in the Northeast Conference. Batiste will be among the first recruits for newly-hired coach Donyell Marshall, a 15-year NBA veteran.
Batiste tweeted about his college hoops commitment Saturday.
“I just think it’s the best fit for me playing for Coach Marshall his first year and having the chance to come in and help bring a program back to what it was 10 years ago,” Batiste said.
