The Missouri State Bears’ complete first half gave them a 67-60 win over the Valparaiso men’s basketball team.
While the game was slower in pace, the Bears used that to their advantage after the first 2:33. Neither team scored and combined for a 0% shooting effort off eight shots.
Senior Keandre Cook got the scoring started and MSU took off while the Crusaders remained flat. Valparaiso’s star scorer sophomore Javon Freeman-Liberty, who averages 21.2 points per game, went without a single point for the entire first half.
Both teams had 32 field goal attempts, but Valparaiso only made six, shooting 18.
