GRAND FORKS, ND — One of the great seasons in Missouri State football's history has come to an end.
Missouri State was dominated in a 44-10 loss to North Dakota in the first round of the FCS Playoffs on Saturday afternoon at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
The loss marks the end to what was a historic season for the Bears as it resurged from 31 years of irrelevance. Their postseason appearance was their first since 1990.
MSU head coach Bobby Petrino's first season ends with many milestones including a four-game winning streak to close out the regular season, the program's first share of the Missouri Valley Football Conference since 1990 and the conference's coach of the year honor.
