Dalton Cloyd carried the ball and bruised his way into the end zone.
His Fair Grove teammates went crazy.
The Eagles celebrated winning the 10-yard overtime challenge against Ava at the Evangel University team camp. Cloyd and company hope to do more celebrating this fall.
Fair Grove football experienced a renaissance with the arrival of coach Bill Voorhis, who has high hopes for a loaded senior class in his third season with the program.
“We were 2-8 the year before I got here. The first year with these guys when they were sophomore they were 5-5 and then 8-4 as juniors, so we feel like we’re ready to take the next step and hopefully do something special,” Voorhis said.
