When the No. 7 Alabama men's basketball team tipped off against the Missouri Tigers on Saturday, one person was missing and it was noticeably quieter for fans watching at home.
ESPN analyst Jimmy Dykes was forced to announce the first few minutes of the game alone after Karl Ravech, the scheduled play-by-play commentator, was missing due to technical difficulties.
Ravech joined in on the action via cell phone with 15:03 left in the first half.
"We're still skating on thin ice over here," Ravech told Dykes. "We're calling the game through a cell phone.
