COLUMBUS, Ohio — It took a lot Tuesday night at the Elite 8 to top the national honors that were bestowed upon Drury University by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association.
But, the undefeated Lady Panthers did their best. They took another step toward their ultimate goal — a national title in NCAA Division II — by mauling Nova Southeastern 91-60 in the quarterfinals at Columbus, Ohio.
They forced 40 turnovers. They grabbed 39 rebounds. They scored 38 points off the bench.
Daejah Bernard, a 5-foot-7 guard, was all over the floor, recording 11 rebounds, 10 points, seven assists and six steals.
