Top-seeded Benedictine made it a short stay in the conference tournament for the Drury University men’s basketball team.
The Knights used a 16-5 run to start the second half to turn a 37-35 halftime deficit into a 53-40 lead, and they never looked back.
The Panthers fell by a 79-62 victory in Evansville, Indiana, ending their season with an 18-10 overall record.
“I told our guys in the locker room that Bellarmine was going to come out with renewed energy and renewed focus in the second half and we have to match that,” Panthers coach Steve Hesser said in a release.
