The head coach of the Bears has been hibernating for the last few weeks.

Dave Steckel told reporters Monday he has been in his "cave" watching film and preparing a game plan for Saturday's 11 a.m. matchup with Mizzou in Columbia.

One of Steckel's duties has been watching tape of Mizzou quarterback Drew Lock.

Steckel, who was on the Mizzou staff when the Tigers recruited Lock, said he thinks the junior signal caller will be the next MU quarterback in the NFL.

"I really believe in my heart that Drew is next in the (lineage) of the Brad Smiths, the Chase Daniels, the Blaine Gabberts," Steckel said.
