Drake comes back to take down Missouri State in battle of first place teams

In a surprising first-place matchup in the month of January, the Drake Bulldogs (12-9, 6-2) took sole possession of first place in the Missouri Valley Conference with a tough victory over the Missouri State Bears (15-6, 5-3).

The Bulldogs improved to 8-0 at home on the season with an impressive come from behind, 61-58 victory.

Drake averages a little more than 84 points per game at the Knapp Center in Des Moines, Iowa, but the Bears’ defense traveled well.
