For the second year in a row, the Dora boys basketball team found themselves in the MSHSAA Class 1 State Championship. This year’s result was much sweeter than last.
The Falcons defeated the St. Elizabeth Hornets 59-49 for a near-perfect season, losing just two games during the regular season.
“To experience what felt like the lowest point and then to experience the highest point — it’s wild. It’s everything,” Dora junior Waylon Masters said.
“I’d say the feeling is a lot better today than it was last year,” Dora head coach Rick Luna said with a laugh.
