Former Baylor football coach Art Briles recently spoke about reports that connected him to Missouri State's previously vacant head football coach position.
Briles was fired from Baylor in 2016 amid the school's sexual assault scandal.
FootballScoop.com reported on Jan. 14 that Briles would be the next football coach of the Missouri State and it was proven to be false. The university hired former Louisville and Arkansas head coach Bobby Petrino while MSU President Clif Smart strongly denied any consideration of Briles.

On an ESPN Radio Central Texas appearance on Friday, Briles was asked about the Missouri State rumor and if he heard about Smart's remarks.
