The reigning NAIA player of the year has put together some dream games in her record-shattering career at Drury University.
But few like Saturday.
Senior Hailey Diestelkamp scored 37 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the top-ranked Lady Panthers stopped a pesky Lindenwood team, 98-84.
One reason for her monster game: She played seven minutes more than usual (30) in the high-energy attack and defense. “She’s a beast. She plays so hard,” says Coach Molly Miller.
Another reason: She was needed on the floor as the Lions never let up after trailing by as much as 25 points early in the third quarter.
