Mark your calendars and pray — there is a chance Yadier Molina could make one last appearance in Springfield with the Cardinals.
The Cardinals said Tuesday that Molina will begin participating in game action with a rehab assignment in the minors come the last week of July. One of the most beloved Cardinals of all time has been out this past month with right-knee inflammation.
As fate would have it, the Springfield Cardinals host the Frisco RoughRiders that week from July 26 through July 31. The Cardinals would then be on the road for the next two weeks with Molina expected to return to the big-league club in early August.
