Permits will soon be allowed for commercial or for-profit photography and videography on Missouri Department of Conservation areas.
The Missouri Conservation Commission gave its final approval to MDC’s proposed change in the “Wildlife Code of Missouri” regulations, according to a news release.
“Commercial use is defined as any activity that directly or indirectly results in financial gain, or where money is exchanged in connection with the activity,” MDC stated.
Such permits are not required for news agencies, hobby photographers and videographers, or those taking person photos and videos. Professional, for-profit photography and filming have historically been restricted on MDC areas as “commercial use” activities.
