It had been 14 years since Fair Grove appeared in a state semifinal, but the Eagles looked like regulars.
The Greene County program exhibited poise in a 61-42 win over Class 3 power Skyline on Friday at Great Southern Bank Arena, advancing to its first state title game.
Fair Grove will face defending champion El Dorado Springs (26-5) at 4 p.m. on Saturday in an all-Southwest Missouri finale.
It took a redemptive win over another Southwest Missouri school to get there.
"The last time we played Skyline was Feb. 2, we remember the date because we didn't play very well," Fair Grove coach Jenny Talbert said, referencing a road 49-46 loss.
